WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Susanne C.

"The party was a huge success and my husband said he hasn’t ever had better appetizers. So we think we should never have a party without you!"

"Thank you for such a fun night. And thank you for making putting the evening together a breeze. Your home was lovely and the cooking went smoothly. It flowed very well and honestly I don't recall ever thinking "ok what is next"...everything went great! The girls were talking about the evening still on the wedding day. They had a great time and while some of the girls were thinking in the limo that we are "just" making appetizers and would still be hungry later on, everyone was full from all of the tasty appetizers we made! I have been craving those avocado toasts already and plan to make them again soon! "

"Just wanted you to know how much I appreciated the class. Your kitchen and home are beautiful, the content was informative and helpful, the planning was impeccable. Overall, it was a wonderful afternoon of food and learning very graciously offered."

Lisa H.

"I la-la-loved your class and so did everyone who I spoke to after! The things I loved most:

- How warm and inviting you are and your space is.

- Little touches like the aprons and filling wine glasses up made me feel like a special guest.

- Your "taste" for food (if you'll pardon the pun) is impeccable and infectious. I love how you evoke that in the kitchen!

- You receded at times and let the conversations wander in different groups, resurfacing to help and advise. It created a nice flow. "

"My birthday party was a success! My friends and I loved the food. It was nice to see them enjoy eating some of my favorite foods that they had never tried before. I had a French theme. Bobbi made the food for our dinner, which was all delicious! She also brought over ingredients for the desserts we made. My friends and I had an amazing time! It was a great way to talk and strengthen our bonds while making awesome desserts! Bobbi helped us and made sure we were doing the right steps, but gave us space to make the food ours. Cooking with an experienced chef is great, and being able to say that you've made tricky recipes is fun too!"

Kristin P.  (Josephine's Mom)

"When my eldest daughter had her heart set on a cooking party for her 14th birthday, I was disappointed at the "kiddish" offerings I could find in the area and approached Bobbi to see if she'd be interested in designing and delivering a more custom experience. She worked with my daughter to create a unique experience that was celebratory, highly engaging for the girls, brilliantly educational, great fun, incredibly delicious and 100% tailored to my daughter's ideas and interests. Bobbi hosted the party in her lovely home where she has a beautifully appointed and designed kitchen. The girls enjoyed sparkling sodas and hors d'oeuvres then baked bread, made pesto, their own pasta and decorated the birthday cake. They then sat down to an elegant plated feast of their own creation. The event was such a success that one year later, my daughter asked Bobbi to help her celebrate her 15th birthday - this time with a French Desserts theme. Bobbi again provided her with a range of ideas, honing in to making my daughter's dreams for her party a reality. This time the party was at our home and Bobbi brought everything needed, including a catered dinner for the girls to enjoy after succeeding with their ambitious and delicious set of desserts. She left us with recipes, delightful memories and no mess! Afterwards my happy daughter exclaimed, "Mom, you should have Bobbi do your birthday party!"  As I can't imagine anything more wonderful, I agreed and we're setting it up. Count us as thoroughly delighted repeat customers!"

"I've been lucky enough to attend two Conscious Crumbs cooking parties this year, and I have to say, they were the social highlights of my year.  Bobbi is an amazing cook but more importantly, a talented and compassionate teacher.  She recognizes that her students come from a range of different backgrounds, talents, and abilities and designs her parties accordingly.  I came away from each party with new recipes that I couldn't wait to try on my own but also with a new-found sense of confidence that 'even I' could do this.  After our last party, my friends decided we need to have these parties on a quarterly basis -- I can't wait for the next one!"

"I am not a comfortable cook. New things scare me, and as such I have avoided breads, pesto, and salad dressings (amongst other things). Bobbi told me these were easy and I scoffed “easy for you”. Bobbi taught me otherwise when she came into my kitchen and walked me through making bread, pesto and a salad dressing with my ingredients and appliances. Wow it was easy! Who knew? Bobbi. My family and I couldn’t be happier."

"Highly recommend a Conscious Crumbs cooking class for a group of friends. Each of my highly skilled friends learned something new and had a fabulous time doing so. The menu was planned perfectly by Chef Bobbi, so we could have plenty of hands-on practice, yet still have time to eat the fruits of our labor. Do it people-it's a blast."

"Bobbi's passion and enthusiasm for all things food are both obvious and infectious.  I barely noticed how much I was learning as she not only showed me how to make a plethora of savory pastries, but also to understand the recipes so I could adapt them."

"I told Bobbi I wanted to learn to pickle.  She made it seem so easy--first by showing me how to do it and then by gradually having me do more and more of the process until I was able to do it from start to finish.  The class inspired me to go buy some mason jars so I can do pickle at home.  Bobbi has an impressive garden, but I know I can just go to the farmers market to stock up on seasonal produce that I can preserve to enjoy throughout the winter."
